I’m excited to share that my first collaboration is with my local golf course — just a short walk from my house. Since I began playing golf, this has been one of the most organic relationships I feel I have developed. I had been going to their course and driving around 3 years, then some banter sparked with the pro who worked there.
About the Course
This community golf course has deep roots. Family-owned and passed down for generations, the land was originally used for dairy farming until it was sold in 1929. It wasn’t until the mid-1990s that the land was fully developed into a public golf course.
The course vibe is laid-back, friendly, and welcoming — everything you’d want from your neighborhood course. While it’s accessible and beginner-friendly, its real challenge lies in its tricky greens. In the summer, the course is lush with massive shade trees offering a cool break from the heat. Come fall, the grounds often flood slightly, becoming a sanctuary for local wildlife.
Our First Drop: The Clubhouse Hat
For this first product drop, I wanted to honor both the rich history of the course and the vibrant community that plays there. After several design drafts and conversations with the staff, we landed on something that felt right: our Clubhouse Hat — a casual yet refined golf hat that speaks to locals and visitors alike.
But this wasn’t just about making merch. I also offered to refresh the golf club’s digital presence — from its website to its social media — to better connect with today’s golf audience and to create cohesion with future apparel and accessories we plan to release.
What’s Next
This collaboration is just the beginning. My hope is to continue developing products that reflect local golf culture while helping small courses modernize and connect with a new generation of golfers.
If you’re passionate about golf, community, and storytelling through apparel — follow along. There’s more to come.
